About
Hi, my name is Aletheia Zoe Chiang. Aletheia means “Truth” and Zoe means “Eternal Life”; both words were taken from the original text of the Bible, which was (for historian buffs out there) written in GREEK.
In May 2011, I graduated from the University of Waterloo with a B. Sc in Biology, a specialization in Microbiology, and a minor in French Studies.
In general, I have always been a perceptive and pensive person. I think a lot about life, but not so much in a philosophical way as in a sort of romantic-literary type way. (I was a irreconcilable bookworm basically since birth.) By God’s mercy, I have concluded by faith in the Son of the living One that actually, nothing matters more in this whole universe than seeing a vision of God’s eternal purpose, and carrying it out here on earth.
Oh yeah, and uh, I’m actually a major cat person.
(And if you like watching silent Aletheia-videos with Feist music playing in the background, indulge by clicking here.)

loves the video! well put together Ale! i love your expression especially when you handed the baby off =p
Haha, thanks so much Andree!! It is a pretty funny expression, isn’t it? =P
I was studying and listening to Feist when I read that line. Too funny! And your videos are great!
I am so blessed and glad that you commented on my blog. I am so in love with your blog…how amazing and terrific. Not only that…but I am also Canadian! I will have to send u an email sometime! You are only 20 and so accomplished! I am 28…but pretty young considering my life right now and all
I think you have a terrific blog and I am in such admiration of your athletic abilities. As a former competitive athlete, I miss it dearly (this last year I have taken up walking only due to lots of issues)…miss it…but have to accept, and hope the future will be better.
I plan to follow your blog …I think I will add u to my roll if okay? You can add me also…but i warn u i am a mess…sometimes too personal…often boring….things like that…but yours is great and i love new readers and comments
Wow. Waterloo – what a cool name for a place! And that is so cool that you are going to pursue naturopathic medicine. It’s such an extensive practice. I believe in holistic living as well. It’s true, once you start becoming more knowledgeable in holistic ideas, you see how everything really is connected. I know when I was getting acupuncture done I become so much more aware of my body and how things were connected.
Thanks for much for stopping by because now I discovered your blog! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE all the colorful eats

Cheers Aletheia
“All in all, I have this dominating zest for life.”
-What a fabulous sentence. Cheers to you, your effusive spirit, and your faith. And I have to give your parents credit for giving you a beautiful name, too.
Hi Aletheia! I just found your blog today, through Audrey’s. I love Jesus Christ too!
This is crazy – I came to this page after reading a few posts – you are studying what I am thinking about studying in college! (I’m currently in high school.) Biology and holistic medicine. For so long I’ve been clueless about my future/career plans, but I’ve been thinking science and medicine more and more.
What led you down this road, toward health (nutrition, exercise, etc.) and your studies?
I just found your blog and think you are LOVELY! Can’t wait to keep reading.
Hi Aletheia! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. Your comment made me laugh
Yes, Lynn Chen rocks!
Hi Aletheia — you have a beautiful name!!! I found your blog through Jessie at Happiness in Health after she posted about Greenola. I am SO intrigued. I love avocados and I love granola…but I’ve never thought about putting the two together!
Anyway, I’ve read a couple of your posts and I really do like your “everything” blog and your style of writing!
I’ve added you to my reader and am excited to read more!
Aletheia you have a very special name and a very vibrant personality. I have done my BS in a homoepathic medicine which I guess is a small part of naturopathy and I am doing myPhD in Genome science of which Microbiology is a small part. Sorry if Iconfused you by now, by what I meant is we some what swapped our BS and graduate studies interests.
Good to find your blog…
hehe, I always wished I was named Zoe while I was growing up…and Athena was one of my other favorites. For some reason I didn’t like Florence all that much. So, I basically love you name haha
I’ve since settled for Floey.
Beautiful blog btw

Hi! I was considering going to the Bastyr school as well! But now I am leaning to going to grad school (in two years…) at Berkeley or Cornell! I want to go into research and I was thinking the Bastyr school may be too specific/limited in that regard. But it clearly an amazing school. Whatever you do, I wish you the best!
So glad I found your blog and I love your name
Looking forward to reading more!
Vivian
p.s nice to know another Canadian
